Abstract:

Up to now, no independent model for the shear design of composite slabs under the consideration of the two types of longitudinal reinforcement – metal sheet and reinforcing steel – exists. Therefore, extensive investigations were conducted at Technische Universität Kaiserslautern. The research project was completed recently. A new engineering model, which was calibrated on tests, was developed. Furthermore, the engineering model was transferred into a design model. In this paper the experimental investigations are presented as well as the engineering model.
