Abstract:

Application of curved glass in architecture.

The use of glass in modern architecture is growing continuously. Since curved glass differs radically from flat glass in production, load bearing behavior, as well as in the approval procedure of building law, some additional information and details need to be taken into consideration when using curved glass. It will be shown, which specialities have to be considered, where the possible risks are, and what the current State-of-the-Art is.
