Abstract:

Bridge is an adjunct structure as a connection between two edge of road that has been separated under several geographical features. The object of research is the continuous box girder bridge. Light Rail Transit loading is implemented on the continuous box girder bridge with 1 and 2 trainsets of LRT as a study case. The structure’s geometry, support, material, and LRT loading are modelled with finite element analysis software. The natural frequencies of continuous box girder bridge in existing condition is greater than the natural frequencies of continuous box girder bridge with 1 and 2 trainset LRT. Furthermore, the natural frequencies of continuous box girder from resulted finite element analysis is 2.567% lower than the dynamics testing.
