Abstract: |
The 9.6 km long section of the Durchmesser underground line in Zürich starts at the Altstetten station at the western edge of the city and runs from there along the existing access route to the new Löwenstraße station under the Zürich main station, and from there northwards to Oerlikon. The project is split into four sections. The 4.8 km two-track Weinberg Tunnel with escape and rescue tunnels forms Section 3 and runs from the Löwenstraße station to the railway cutting in Oerlikon. Section 3 is sub-divided into the two structural contracts 3.1 and 3.2. The section below the Südtrakt (south wing) and the Südtrakt shaft together form contract 3.1. This article deals with the requirements for the construction works and describes the chosen concept of "mined top-down construction". |
