Abstract:

Durability of reinforcements in concrete with fly ash

Linear analysis simplifies four aspects of the structural calculation problem: a. The constitutive relations of the structure materials b. The equilibrium formulation on the final deformed geometry c. The compatibility between geometrically derived deformations and those obtained from the existing actions d. The difference between the rotations and their trigonometrical functions The method described in this paper corrects these limitations, using a mechanism of introducing deformations and actions on the members in linear models. These changes during the calculation process, both in their geometrical definition and in the mechanical properties of their elements. The result is a non-linear process. An algorithm that considers the actual constitutive relations of the materials is utilized for obtaining generalized strains in sections subjected to skewed bending-axial actions. The sections can be steel, reinforced concrete or mixed. The geometrical incompatibility and the disequilibrium appearing in the elements of the displaced and deformed structure are calculated. The correction of different causes of error is made by an iterative process differentiating the types of non linear calculation generated. The iterations are structured and automatic internal corrections are established in order to reduce possible trends to diverge.
