Abstract:

This paper presents two numerical methods for the evaluation of temperature distributions in bridges, based on a finite element and a finite difference formulation. Comparisons of analytical results with experimental data are presented. Based on a parametric study, design temperature differences for concrete T-beam bridges located in the Iberian Peninsula are proposed.
