This paper presents the findings of IABSE Working Commission 4 'Construction Management' on the topic Design and Construct: It includes contributions by C. Arditi, USA; J. Domsa, Romania; A. Schub, Germany and C. J. Vos, Netherlands. One of the principal activities of the Commission in the years 1992-1993 was to study the 'design and construct' procedures in the various home countries of the commission's members and to compare traditional design procedures with the design & construct approach. |
