Abstract: |
The "Deep geothermal power station" project represents a new process for the exploitation of geothermal energy. District heating and heating for industrial purposes as well as electricity can be produced in a geothermal power station. The heat extraction will be controlled and continuous in a closed circulation system using drillings from a mined system of tunnels at a depth of 6,000 m. In order to overcome the high temperatures and rock pressures to be expected, interdisciplinary collaboration between several professions will be required. |
