Abstract: |
The localization of corroding reinforcement in concrete structures is a worldwide problem. A state-of-the-art technique is to localize the corrosion areas of the reinforcement by visual inspection or by sounding of the probably damaged concrete surfaces before starting the concrete repair. By that means it is very likely that some areas starting to corrode will be missed. It is more useful to determine corrosion areas by electrochemical potential difference measurements. For extensive measurements efficient measurement equipment has been developed and used successfully. The reliability of the potential difference measurement could be confirmed by practical use. |
