Abstract: |
The design requirements for the Milan Fair exhibition buildings demanded a highly efficient system capable of providing the maximum free space for commercial exhibitions, while optimising the amount of flexibility of usage, at the lowest possible cost for construction and operation. A solution featuring two stories of exhibition spaces was conceived as the most effective way to minimise the service area and the amount of internal pathways, and to provide the maximum flexibility for the utilisation of the spaces for different events. In order to achieve the highest efficiency, economy and construction speed, all the structural solutions were based upon the concept of prefabrication. |
