| Abstract: |
Arch bridges are not usually thought to be competitive with other bridge forms at spans of 70 m. However, precise study of the construction method for a new arch bridge in Iceland showed that the arch form can result in economically competitive structure. This article describes the planning, design and construction of this bridge. |
