Abstract:

Behaviour of prestressing tendons after release. Part II: Experimental verification

This paper is a continuation of a previous one in which theoretical model to describe the behaviour of a prestressing tendon after release of the prestressing force was presented. The object of the present paper is to show the experimental verification of the model above mentioned. The experimental results correspond to differents tests of a beam with two types of tendons. Good agreement between theoretical results correspond to different tests of a beam with two types of tendons. Good agreement between theoretical and experimental results has cbeen found in general. Likewise, an analytical law of the friction coeficient after release, in function of the corresponding friction during stressing and the percentage of prestressing force is shown for this specific test.
