Performance of precast concrete structures in the 1985 Mexico City earthquakeThe seismological aspects of the Mexico Earthquake and its effects in Mexico City are briefly reviewed. The characteristics of precast structures and their performance during the earthquake are described. Possible provision for precast structures in the Mexico City Code, which is now being revised are discussed. |
