Abstract:

A new port is being constructed approximately 20 km South East of Bombay. The water area for the port is 52 square kilometers. Sufficient land has been developed covering an area of 15 square kilometers for various facilities. Its bulk-handling facility with a capacity of 12 million tons per year, includes 4 horizontal silos for the storage of fertilizers, food grains and sulphur, each having an area of 21,000 square meters.
