Abstract:

Design model for pull-through resistance of direct fastenings in sandwich panels.

Fastenings of sandwich panels are designed based on experimentally determined pull-through resistances, because a mechanically based model does not exist. In the context of a research project an analytical design model of direct fastenings has been developed and verified by extensive numerical and experimental investigations.
