Abstract: |
The RN 7 road crosses the Andes near the Aconcagua, the highest peak of South America. The section of the road, about 3300 m above sea level, is important for international trade traffic between various countries in South America. The Highway Administration decided to build 19 shelters along the stretch of road against snow avalanches, rock falls and mud flow. The project will result in about 5200 m of sheltered road. |
