Abstract:

Design and building physics issues of double partition walls.

The execution of double partition walls has long been state of the art. However, defects can be detected in masonry walls over and over again that restrict the sound reduction, heat and humidity protection and their usability. Here, a solid design based on simple planning rules is readily possible. This article presents the necessary measures in connection with the different building physics requirement disciplines and helps to avoid defects.
