Anwendung des Eurocode 6 in der Tragwerksplanung

Application of the Eurocode 6 in the structural design.

The proof of load bearing capacity of brick work is shown using the example of an exterior and an interior wall on the basis of the assessment of the state of strain with the "simplified" and with the "more precise" design procedure. The shear check is shown exemplarily on a bracing wall with the four failure criteria.
In case that certain building projects don't comply with the limitations of the "simplified procedure", the degree of utilization determined hereby shows the proper walls which have to be proven with the "more precise" design procedure.
