Approaches for determining vertical loads on shear walls.

This paper shows how the load introduction from a ceiling into a wall beneath may be influenced by different parameters. Through a comparative analysis of different approaches for the determination of load size and position several reserves are shown, which could be affected as positive by the verifying of a shear wall.
