Abstract: |
The external structural reinforcement with steel plates glued with epoxy adhesive is an option to increase the load capacity of reinforced concrete elements. This study evaluated experimentally reinforced concrete beams with steel plates reinforcement SAE 1020 of different thicknesses (0.75, 1.50 and 2.25 mm), lengths (80 and 150 cm) and settings (shape U or flat) aiming to review and compare best practices with structural reinforcement glued plate. 21 beams were made to cross sections of 12x20 cm and length of 200 cm, with concrete C25 and armor bending with 2 Ø10 mm. The beams were subjected to bending tests at 4 points, which allowed analyzing the latest loads and vertical displacements. As a result, it presents a performance comparison of the beams. Keywords:Structural reinforcement; glued steel plate; reinforced concrete beams. |
