Abstract:

Results of acoustic measurements in the Smolny Cathedral, one of the most beautiful cathedrals in St. Petersburg, are presented. Values of sound reverberation time, clarity and definition, as well as the structure of early reflections, are obtained and an analysis of the cathedral acoustics given.
