Abstract: |
Vanke Center is located at the sea beach of Shenzhen, China. The whole building floating about 10~15m high from the ground is supported by several tubes, walls and columns. Active prestressed cable and first steel frame structure were used to bear 5-6 stories of reinforced concrete frame upperstructure and transfer the gravity to the tubes, walls and columns. This article focuses on the selection of the structural system, the structure design method, the structure construction sequence, the cable tension control criteria and the details of the key structural members and joints. |
