Abstract: |
In integrated contracts, the client asks the contractor to realise a building or infrastructure project inclusive design and engineering; maintenance, exploration and finance can also be part of the integrated contract. The Netherland’s Platform of Structural Safety initiated a research on the practice of assuring structural safety in integrated contracts. This was done through an evaluation of six projects. Goal was to collect best practices, for the client and the contractor, to incorporate the assurance for structural safety in the complete process of the projects. The research focusses on contracts initiated by governmental bodies and semi-governmental bodies. |
