Abstract: |
Some aspects of the life-cycle performances of the cable-stayed bridges at Malpensa airport in Italy are investigated in both deterministic and probabilistic terms. The study is developed by using a general methodology for time-variant reliability analysis of concrete structures subjected to diffusive attacks from external aggressive agents. The beneficial effects of repair interventions are also taken into account. The results show that the repair interventions allow to decrease the rate of deterioration and the dispersion of the involved uncertainty. |
