Abstract: |
The present paper summarizes the results of a research program involving the testing of push-out specimens and composite beams with an innovative continuous shear connector in ultra-high performance concrete. In the push-out tests the load-slip behavior of the shear connectors was evaluated and compared for various parameters. For steel failure of the shear connectors a design model is proposed. The beam tests are focused on the moment carrying capacity and the transition of the shear forces across the joint between steel and concrete. Two beam tests are presented and discussed. |
