Abstract: |
The application of collaborative digital workflows has evolved rapidly in recent years, but their use across the built environment industry varies widely. A small number of projects are applying highly innovative approaches and leading-edge technology, whilst others focus mainly on compliance with often misunderstood BIM regulations. Still others are struggling to make headway in this brave new world. End-to-end integration of these processes throughout the project lifecycle remains rare. This seminar brings together a number of practitioners, and invites the presenters and speakers to consider: what is the future of digital design and construction delivery? How can innovative approaches be adopted more widely? Have designers now moved far ahead of constructors and asset managers, and if so, how can they catch up? What does this mean for how we procure projects and the roles and responsibilities of consultants and contractors? What is holding us back? |
