Abstract: |
This is a wedding chapel standing within the grounds of a resort hotel in the city of Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture. The site is halfway up a hill with a panoramic view of islands dotted along the serene Seto Inland Sea. By intertwining a pair of spirals, we realized a free-standing piece of architecture whose structure is unprecedented in world terms, while forming a pure spatial representation of the act of marriage. |
