Abstract: |
Punching shear tests of twelve steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC) slabs were carried out to present the design equation based on the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE) standard specifications. The fibre pull-out strength and the critical section perimeter improved by the fibre factor were introduced into the JSCE equation. A non-dimensional constant value to improve the critical section perimeter was extrapolated from the data tested in this study. From the comparison of the tested values with the predicted values, the proposed equation could predict the punching shear capacity of SFRC slabs with an applicable accuracy. |
