Abstract: |
The new seaward extension project of Monaco (“Portier Cove”) is a major maritime civil works project that will create a new urban area of 6 hectares, increasing by 3% the total area of Monaco. This paper describes the main characteristics of the maritime and civil works that have started end of 2016 and will be handed over in 2020. It focuses also on the environmental measures that have been put in place and that will serve as new standards for future marine works around the world. |
