Abstract: |
In 2010 a research project was initiated by the Swiss VSS (research and standardization in the field of road and transportation) and ewp AG, to develop an overall evaluation method for all types of engineering structures, which reduces the personal effect of an inspector on these evaluations and also includes aspects of structural and user safety as well as serviceability. It was developed to improve the reproducibility of condition ratings. After the completion of the project, ewp continued to adapt the method for practical application. In order to easily collect and handle the data, especially for a large number of objects, the data collection and rating algorithm was implemented into a GIS-based database developed by ewp with solutions for mobile and web based data entry and analysis. |
