Abstract: |
Except for the main advantage of the composite system, which is the high utilisation of applied materials, these structural systems are also known for reusability, high degree of prefabrication and long-span capability. This paper presents experimentally supported numerical research on the bending behaviour of LWT-FLOOR composite cold-formed steel-concrete beams where steel beam elements are connected using spot-welding technology and are connected to a concrete slab by innovative demountable shear connectors. To consider the functional requirements of the system, a parametric study of LWT-FLOOR beams with different shapes of web openings is presented. Furthermore, the influence of different web openings is verified for various corrugated web thicknesses. Except for various shapes of web openings, spans of steel-concrete composite beams of 6 and 12 m are considered. For all analysed parameters, the bending capacities are compared. |
