Abstract: |
The behaviour of under-deck cable-stayed bridges subjected to seismic actions, which may induce response beyond the linear elastic range of their materials, is addressed here. Significant detail regarding the modelling and dynamic analysis of these particularly light-weight structures has been applied in order to obtain relevant conclusions about their seismic response. Benchmark near-field and far-field records have been considered with different scaling factors, moreover Eurocode 8 compliant natural accelerograms have been applied verifying their design. |
