Abstract: |
The purpose of this study is development of an RC joint structure, called as the rationalized joint, applicable to the bridge axial joint of precast PC slabs in the replacement work of RC slabs of deteriorated steel bridges. A nut is attached to an end of the re-bar in the joint of the precast PC slab. The bending and shear load-carrying capacity of the joint with reduced anchorage length is confirmed by experiments. Furthermore, the fatigue resistance performance is confirmed by a moving wheel load test. Moreover, the fixing performance is confirmed and applied as a joint of an actual structure when an epoxy coated re-bar is used. |
