Abstract: |
This paper presents the influence of the geometrical imperfections over the structural response of a proposal network arch bridge in Catalonia, Spain. Different integrated 3D models are analysed in order to consider the interaction between the network hangers and the arch and deck as an extension of a previous study for this purpose [1]. A finite element nonlinear geometric analysis is carried out in order to compute the effects of the changing geometry focused on the axial load and bending moments presented in the structure at different points. The behaviour of the steel arch, the network hangers and the steel deck is described and updated according to the increase of the geometrical imperfections considered at different stages. Finally, different conclusions are established according to the behaviour of the axial loads, bending moments and the geometrical changes. |
