Abstract: |
This article is focused on the universal principles that are common to many design-related disciplines, including bridge design. Being aware of these principles (outlined in this two-page article and more deeply developed in the conference presentation and in the eight-page version of the paper) allows the bridge designer to face the process adding new variables to the ones usually considered, or to make conscious (and therefore controlled) design decisions. |
