Abstract:

The paper is a review of numerical simulations of pedestrian bridges. The subject is divided into three issues.

  1. FEM structural models of pedestrian bridges
  2. Live loads on pedestrian bridges
  3. Response of the footbridge – numeric simulations,
    • deck vertical vibrations under vertical excitation,
    • cable stayed footbridge - vibrations of stays.

Selected theoretical problems and formulas are presented in this paper in a condensed way to implement an idea and answer the problems which were important for the author during practice.
