Abstract: | Many old riveted railway bridges in Sweden from the turn of the century and the few decades thereafter are today still being kept in service, so their useful lifespan might be close to an end. However, as shown by several field investigations and extensive fullscale fatigue tests, for a well-maintained bridge the expected remaining fatigue life should be substantial. |
