Abstract:

This paper deals with imprints of steel tendons into corrosion protection ducts (polyethylene, PE- HD) of unbonded deviated monostrands. These strands are mainly used for internal, but also for external post-tensioning in bridges, buildings and tanks. In areas of deviation imprints of the steel into softer plastic occur, because of deviation loads and by friction that occurs when stressing. The influence of bedding to the imprint-behaviour will be investigated experimentally and verified theoretically. Furthermore, some tests were done to investigate the use of new materials for sheathing of prestressing steel.
