Digues du nouveau port de Tanger Méditerranée: De la conception à la réalisation

The breakwaters of the new container port of Tangiers Méditerranée have been designed within the frame of a global alternate design, related not only to breakwaters structures but also to the whole port layout. Present paper describes the context in which this design has been developed from conceptual to detailed design : aspects related to layout, design of Accropode™ rubble mound breakwaters, and design of the caissons adopted for the deepest part of the breakwater, which induced advantages in terms of environment but also operation.
