Abstract: |
Although the bridge style Taxiways are rare in the world, a bridge structure is inevitable for the part of the taxiway at Narita Airport. The bridge is supposed to carry heavy aircraft loads and should have low girder heights due to the required vertical clearance over the existing roads. Therefore we analyzed the stresses and deflections of the bridge by live load through FEM. Furthermore, we tried to clearly identify the mechanisms of fractures of the slab through full-scale experiments, and evaluate the punching shear strength technologically. Consequently, we proposed a suitable example of taxiway bridge. |
