Abstract: |
The authors have been developing a vibration based structural sensing system with the accurate small vibrator and wireless accelerometers. In this study, we investigate the effects of various systematic errors of the proposed system on the estimation of vibration characteristics. Sampling delay time of wireless accelerometers is measured and the averaged delay time and the standard deviations are estimated. The correction method of initial phase error of the accurate small vibrator is presented. We also conduct a laboratory scale vibration test using a two-meter steel beam. The mode shape is accurately estimated using the proposed system. |
