Abstract: |
This paper will discuss various extradosed bridge concepts that have been specifically developed for long bridges (e.g. Ganga River crossings in India). Design criteria such as dead and transitory loads, seismic requirements, temperature effects, and foundations will be discussed. In addition, the paper will focus on construction aspects and the importance of reliable, fast, and cost efficient erection methods. |
