Abstract:

The D4R7 Bratislava Bypass is a Public Private Partnership project that consists of the design, construction, financing and operation of 27 km of the D4 Motorway and 32 km of the R7 expressway around Bratislava. Within the Project there are more than 100 different structures of many different typologies including beam bridges, post tensioned slabs, underpasses, animal crossings, pedestrian bridges as well as rehabilitation of several structures in one of the Bratislava´s main interchanges – Prievoz.

The most emblematic part of the Project is 6th Danube Crossing in Bratislava which comprises 3 km of continuous elevated highway structure over the Danube, its floodplain and adjacent areas, which are subject to environmental protection of Natura 2000.
