Abstract:

The research actions were always carried on with a global approach to the urban design, re-interpreting the hard relationship between the infrastructures and the morphological, functional and linguistic features in the common space, building up an object both innovative and rich in concepts straight coming from the local context.

All this leaded to confirm the methodological hypothesis that crossovers, especially the pedestrian ones, show an experience about physical continuity and cognitive discontinuity, involving both personal and collective aspects, particularly referred to the different ways to cross and the linguistic figures they call.

The designed objects also consented to verify that these artworks create active forms in the setting structure, but also significant features in the urban context, in which we can read the orderly recognizability of a place.
