Abstract: |
Extremely low cycle fatigue, which is caused by large cyclic deformation with small number of loading repetition, is one of the main failure modes in steel structures during earthquake. Tn this study, crack propagation behaviour of structural steel in extremely low cycle fatigue region was evaluated based on a non-linear fracture mechanics parameter calculated by analyses. The results demonstrated that crack propagation rate in extremely low cycle fatigue region can be estimated by using cyclic J-integral. |
