Abstract: |
This paper addresses the process of modelling, analysis and structural optimization of the Rao II cable stayed bridge. The Rao II Bridge includes the typical challenges for an engineer when optimizing and simulating the construction of a cable stayed bridge with a composite deck. Some of these challenges are the optimisation of stress free lengths of stay cables, cracked concrete over supports and optimizing the overall structure and construction sequence. |
