Footbridges can play a pivotal role in catalysing urban regeneration. This paper explores the regenerative effect a number of recent footbridge projects have had on their locations, exploring different facets of each of them in turn and highlighting the range of different contexts in which footbridges have played their part in enriching the urban scene, reflecting upon the common, consistent success such quality infrastructure can achieve. |
