Abstract: |
In this paper several examples of peripheral urban bridges designed by the authors are presented. These bridges provide answers to the connection of cities with their surrounding areas. In this kind of spaces, where agricultural land, industrial facilities and urban pre-existences can coexist with future urban developments, bridges work as a connecting element and catalyst of a consistent development. Examples presented in this paper, in urban settings of different towns, intend to be a proper extension of the city in the environment through their formal and resistant solutions. |
