Abstract: |
Bridges connect people, cities, states and continents and are important structures in our life. With the industrialisation, the necessity came up to protect bridge structures and bridge decks from the ingress of chlorides. Depending on knowledge, available technologies and with focus on sustainability the materials used for bridge deck preservation changed. Within our days available resin technologies, a full substitution of asphalt overlays seems to be possible and the next future step. |
