Abstract: |
This paper discusses the infrastructure design of three bridges in Amazon region, Brazil, and the construction experience of one of them. This unique area has very particular project features, especially regarding the hydrological and geotechnical conditions. In that way, hydrologic and geotechnical data from three different places are presented together with the necessary interpretation and application to each bridge design. Field data obtained during the foundation construction of one of the bridges are also presented and compared with the predicted values. |
